After the pre production we went straight into filming and arranging a date to film.
“We had a little problem with one
of the actors Jabz where he could not make the meeting time until after 4pm.
The problem was that according the script, there is a power cut. That means we
cannot film at dark because we would not have any natural light. This means the
camera will be very dark when filming. We resolved this by myself acting and
filling in the space of the character Jabz. We also changed the name to Jordan.”
Another problem we discovered was
we never had a hard copy of the storyboard, most of the shot we took was not
according to the storyboard. This meant that we used up a lot of our time and
was not very efficient. As a result we only got up to scene 3 in our script.
Towards the end we found ourselves rushing because it was getting dark.
Looking back on our footage later in the day I found that some of the footage could not be used because it was too dark and some shots was over exposed to light and bleached out. On a larger screen I found that not all the shots were not in focus, so we will have to film again.
Overall it was a different experience and somethings to consider for next time.
